I have an online friend who lives in Texas, and he says that the principal of his high school goes to work every day with a hand gun in a belt holster.

Hi VC, nice to see you. If you want something reliable, pretty accurate and dirt cheap, look into the Cobra company’s FS380. I own one and it’s as good as any of the bigger names I’ve had, just lower price. I’ve made multiple hits on head sized targets at 100 yards with mine. A good dirt-cheap revolver is the Heritage Arms ‘Rough Rider’ in .22LR/.22WMR. I also have one of them with a 6″ barrel. In a side by side comparison, the Rough Rider outscored Smith&Wesson, Ruger and Colt in rimfire, single action revolvers of the same class. Both of these weapons are priced under $200.
