Straight Edge Folding
Design project using planar shapes for the composition… ?

Here is the project… I literally have no ideas and am in a time crunch.
Frank Gehry is one artist my instructor recommended us to check out, but I do not remember any of the other artists she said.

Keep in mind that Gehry is an architect… he just deals with planes in his buildings.
Project IV – planes

Materials:

White foam core, mat board, and/or poster board
Mat or Exacto knife with sharp blades
Straight edge

3.)Using foam core as a ground plane, create an asymmetrical planar construction by organizing planes into a balanced composition. Planes may be altered by bending, folding, or twisting, changing them to appear three-dimensional.

You may use as many planes as you want but no fewer than three.

Consider the spatial relationship of the base to the forms, and the shape of the planes to one another. The planes should complement each other in size and shape.

Slot the planes to join them.

Ooo, I know Frank Gehry. Is he the one who designed the Guggenheim Museum in Spain? We learned about that in Architecture 101.

I think for this project you just have to use your creativity, but understand the principles first. If I were you I would look at the buildings designed by Gehry, and try to find a theme or something, then emulate that in my project, only with some added creativity of my own. As for the instruction, just use your own interpretation. Good luck.

Some Tips on Folding Crepe Paper

Crepe paper is usually used in decorating for all holidays. This kind of paper comes in various colors, sizes and also styles. Normally, most of people purchase it in the large rolls that will be not completely used for just one occasion. But if you have a plan to reuse the crape paper in future, it will be great for you to understand the way in folding it back onto the roll therefore it can appear just as fresh and also festive for the next celebration. For the first step, you can take a leftover crepe paper which is still intact and also defect-free after the celebration. After that, you can take any strip down and also lay out in the straight line; you can smooth it out as greatly as you can. For the last step, you can continue in rolling up your crepe paper until it will be smooth, even roll of the paper that will resemble a circle or oval. Remember to secure the last end border with the small piece of the tape, therefore it will not flap up and also unravel.

Camouflaging Your Paintball Equipment

Purchasing camouflage for your paintball gear would be a very wise idea as it will make your equipment harder to detect out on the paintball field. Although it may not make it impossible to detect, but it will certainly add at least several seconds onto the time a player has before an opponent sees him and aims for a shoot.

 

For this reason, you should use camouflage vests and outfits instead of any other color pattern. If the paintball equipment is camouflaged but the clothes you are wearing are standing out, the camouflage will be pretty much useless, which is why it is highly recommended that you should keep all of your accessories, like shoes and belts, camouflaged or at least in neutral colors, like dark brown, which will blend very nicely into the surroundings.

 

As far as the gun is concerned, it is advisable that you should take it to a pro shop to have it professionally painted. These shops can paint your marker into any type of camouflage pattern that you need, depending upon the environment in which you will be playing. If you do not have enough money to have it painted, you could use camouflage tape to cover it.

 

As far as the edges of the edges of your mask are concerned, you should cover them by using camouflage tape. Make sure that you keep the tape on the colored plastic and avoid covering up any part of the mask’s clear portions. If you own a mask that has ventilation holes in the sides, you must poke a few holes through the sides in order to keep the inside of the mask from fogging up your glasses and overheating.

 

Your next step would be to drape the end of the paintball gun in leaves and twigs from the surrounding environment. Even though the gun will be painted or taped, the natural cover will make it even less obvious to the enemy.

 

You should know that duct tape does not always work as you might expect. It is recommended to pick out a dull camouflage, rather than a shiny one, which most of today’s duct tapes are. Another downside is that it can leave a residue on the paintball gun, or even worse than that, it can take the paint off on some occasions. To hide down strips of cloth, you could use electrical tape.

 

A tiger-stripe uniform can be used in tropical or jungle environments, along with woodland, but it is less effective. If you haven’t heard of MultiCam, it can be used efficiently in desert, woodland and urban environments. MARPAT is offered in two configurations: Desert and Woodland. For winter areas, choose straight white colors. BDU is a brown, black and green uniform that can be used in wooden areas, while ACU is the current green and tan digi camo uniform that the United States Army uses. Lastly, CADPAT can be efficiently used in environments that feature coniferous trees. Needless to say that for a sandy area you should pick out desert camo.

The most obvious flaw of a look-alike is the crest on the handle. It’ll look like an indented shield with a cross in the centre, and will be gold in colour, like the ones at the bottom of that page. the other thing is a real one will say “Victorinox” near the base of the largest knife.
